Instructor information :

• To educate the students about the basics of diagnosis and treatment planning. • To familiarize the student with component parts of fixed partial denture. • To enable the students to recognize and practice the different clinical steps from tooth preparation to provisional restorations. • To learn the students about different types of pontics. • To educate the students about different types of partial coverage restorations.

Course outcomes:

a. Knowledge and Understanding:
	1- Employ the different diagnostic aids for proper diagnosis 2- Discuss techniques of construction of different types of temporary restorations 3- - Recognize the different methods of tissue dilation 4- Classify the different types of impression materials & techniques 5- Classify different types of pontics 6- Classify different types of partial coverage restorations.

	1- - Design proper treatment planning using diagnostic skills and knowledge 2- Interpret the data obtained by the different diagnostic measures 3- select the suitable type of pontics

	1- perform properly different types of full coverage teeth preparation as bridge retainer on simulator with proper path of insertion 2- construct acrylic resin temporary restoration
