Course outcomes:

a. Knowledge and Understanding:

1- A1- discuss causes of post operative pain.
2- A2- List the methods used for post operative pain control.
3- A3- Recognize the principles of caries control and management
4- A4- Describe the contributing factors in dental caries and their interrelationship with tooth, saliva, diet and systemic factors.
5- A5- Describe caries preventive measures.
6- A6- Describe Materials, techniques, and processes involved with management of deep carious lesion.
7- A7- list the light curing systems.

b. Intellectual Skills:

1- B1- Analyze signs and symptoms for common patient complaints.
2- B2- Construct a differential diagnosis for common presenting complaints.
3- B3- classify different types of dental caries.
4- B4- Demonstrate the methods used for caries assessment.
5- B5- Choose the appropriate method for controlling dental caries and point out the reasons
6- B6- Select the appropriate method to control post operative pain.

1- C1- Practice surgical removal of carious lesions and temporization of teeth.
