Mission

This course is designed to familiarize students with instruments, materials, laboratory procedures, and techniques. used for removable prosthodontics.

Objectives

  • The student will gain experience in the fabrication of maxillary and mandibular complete dentures
  • The laboratory and clinical procedures will be taught and their interdependence stressed
  • The student will study the partial denture components and principles of partial denture design
  • The students will do all the necessary steps for fabrication of chromium-cobalt metallic framework as well as acrylic partial dentures
  • The student will be taught how to manage and treat flat and flabby ridges, immediate dentures, over-dentures, single dentures, dental implants, and maxillofacial prosthodontics.
